Editorial Policy

NickTrend’s editorial policy describes how nickname styles are collected, tested and dated before they appear on the site. Pages are written by the NickTrend editorial team under the team name, and every date shown reflects a real change recorded in the update log below.

How we approach content

Our aim is practical: a page should answer the question that brought you here, using information that can be checked, laid out plainly and without padding. NickTrend is about new and trending name styles, so freshness matters, and so does saying honestly when something is old.

How names are collected

  • From the character set itself. Styles are built from real Unicode characters, so what you copy is text, not an image or a font.
  • From what is happening now. We watch game updates, seasons, festivals and platform changes, and build style sets around them.
  • From visitors. Where a page has a community list, names arrive only when a visitor presses submit; they are screened and can be removed on request.
  • Never copied wholesale. We do not republish another site’s lists. Sets are built and curated for this site.

How names are tested

  1. Source check. Every character must be a real Unicode code point that survives being copied out of the page.
  2. Paste test. A name is pasted into the app a page says it works in. Where we have not been able to test, the page says so instead of promising.
  3. Length check. The result is measured against the stated character limit of the target field.
  4. Rendering check. The set is viewed on a phone and a desktop browser to catch glyphs that display as empty boxes.
  5. Safety check. Nothing offensive, misleading or built to break a page goes in; the audience includes teenagers.

How names are dated

A date next to a name or a page means it was added or re-checked on that day. Names added in the last seven days carry a “new this week” label. We do not change dates in bulk to look active: if a page has not changed, its date does not move.

What we avoid

  • Republishing another site’s content verbatim.
  • Publishing a page only to fill a gap when it adds nothing for the reader.
  • Making promises the tools or the information on this site cannot support, such as claiming a name is unused or will pass a platform’s moderation.
  • Inventing authors, credentials or statistics. The byline is the editorial team because that is who writes the pages.

Use of assistive tools

We use software assistance during drafting and proofreading. Every page is read and edited by a person before it is published, and assistive tools do not replace the paste test or the other checks above.

Independence

NickTrend is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or paid by Free Fire, PUBG Mobile, TikTok, Instagram or any other platform it mentions, and those names are trademarks of their owners. Details are in the Disclaimer.

Corrections and reporting a problem

If you find something inaccurate or out of date, write to us through the Contact page with the page link and what you saw. We check every report that comes with specifics, retest, fix the page and move its date. We do not silently delete a claim and pretend it was never there. More about who we are is on the About page.
